Kuala Lumpur, 3 July 2012 - Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp) will be organising international Outreach and Engagement sessions in Taiwan from 7 – 8 July 2012. These sessions include a Networking Dinner and a Hi-Tea for Malaysian Healthcare professionals, and will be held in Taipei and Kaohsiung respectively. The Outreach and Engagement sessions will also be attended by the Deputy Director General of Health (Medical) Y. Bhg. Datuk Dr. Noor Hisham bin Abdullah, on behalf of the Ministry of Health (MoH).
The Outreach and Engagement sessions will also be supported by the Taiwan Virtual Career Fair (VCF) organised by TalentCorp’s talent engagement portal MyWorkLife. The Taiwan VCF provides Malaysian recruiters the opportunity to pre-screen resumes and engage targeted candidates who are currently based abroad.
Building Networks of Top Talent
The Outreach and Engagement sessions serve as ideal platforms for the creation of structured global networks which not only ease the search for professional opportunities by returning Malaysians, but also enable leading Malaysian companies to tap into a wider talent pool to meet their growing industry needs. Additionally, these engagements help to establish channels for Malaysians to contribute from abroad, and potentially initiate conversations that lead to new ideas for cross-border business and professional opportunities.
The TalentCorp Professional Networking Dinner will take place on Saturday 7 July 2012 at the Howard Plaza Hotel Taipei. Bringing together Malaysian professionals and Malaysia’s leading Healthcare companies including KPJ Healthcare, Pantai Parkway Limited, and Mahkota Medical Centre, the event will explore the scope for collaboration and professional opportunities that are available in Malaysia. The evening will also provide a good opportunity for the diaspora to connect with the latest updates on Malaysia.
Similarly, a Networking Hi-Tea session for Malaysian professionals will be hosted by TalentCorp on Sunday 8 July 2012 at the Howard Plaza Hotel Kaohsiung.
Raising Career Awareness
In addition to the Outreach and Engagement sessions, the Taiwan VCF will be held on 30 June – 22 July 2012. Organised by MyWorkLife, the Taiwan VCF aims to connect companies with Malaysian professionals abroad through a free online platform.
Aside from removing time and geographical barriers commonly associated with conventional career fairs, the Taiwan VCF aims to foster greater awareness and interest in the many career options available in Malaysia, giving Malaysian Healthcare professionals abroad the chance to learn about the dynamic career opportunities and secure jobs in leading organisations such as Tropicana Medical Centre, Penang Adventist Hospital, and Sime Darby Healthcare, among others.
