Catch & Win contest drove excitement and fun at Intel’s Ultrabook City, Plaza Low Yat
Kuala Lumpur, October 1, 2012 – Eight fleet-fingered visitors to Intel’s Ultrabook City at Plaza Low Yat recently walked away with a brand new Ultrabook™ each as winners of Intel’s Catch & Win An Ultrabook contest.
The Catch & Win An Ultrabook contest was announced earlier in July in conjunction with the launch of Intel’s Ultrabook City. The Ultrabook City is an all-new retail experience at Plaza Low Yat for Malaysian technology fans to discover Ultrabooks, a new category of devices which is the next generation of mobile computers. Ultrabooks, inspired by Intel, are thinner, lighter, secure and more responsive, offering great performance to enhance a user’s computing experience.
Since its launch, the contest has been the source of much frenzy and excitement at the Ultrabook City in Plaza Low Yat with consumers racing to capture Ultrabook markers throughout the building using an augmented reality interactive mobile app, so that they may be able to win the prize of an Ultrabook.
The contest has seen more than 9,400 attempts by the contestants, working quickly to be one of the top entries each fortnight to be in the running to win an Ultrabook. With the fastest record of 1.2 seconds achieved, eight Ultrabooks were awarded to the fastest “catchers”, where two Ultrabooks were given away every fortnight throughout the contest period which concluded on 16 September.
“The Catch & Win An Ultrabook contest was a fun contest unlike the other contests that I have entered in the past. You definitely have to be quick and sharp, just like the performance of an Ultrabook in order to capture the golden Ultrabook in order to win the contest,” said Chen Yong Feng who has won one of the eight Ultrabooks up for grabs.
