“GET IT!” CAMPAIGN TO FURTHER CATALYSE NATIONAL DIGITAL INCLUSION EFFORTS Kuala Lumpur, 28 August 2007 – The government’s vision of accelerating PC penetration to 40 percent by 2010, as outlined in the 9th Malaysia plan, will now receive a major boost with the launch of the “Get IT!” campaign - an industry-wide effort driven by Courts Mammoth Berhad, FTEC Resources Berhad, Intel Malaysia and Microsoft Malaysia.

Starting on Merdeka day, all Courts outlets nationwide will offer a range of PCs and notebooks built by FTEC, powered by Intel processors, and running on Microsoft’s Windows Vista operating systems starting from as low as RM9.99 per week.

The “Get IT!” campaign spells out further benefits for Courts customers in making
computing very affordable, including:
1) Reduction of monthly term charges
2) Extended payment period up to 48 months.

Speaking at the launch ceremony today, James Edward Friel, Chief Executive and Managing Director of Courts Mammoth Berhad said that he believed the “Get IT!” campaign will enable further progress on the country’s aspirations to advance PC penetration as well as digital literacy amongst Malaysians and to realise the country’s goal in building an ICT-enabled knowledge society. Information technology should be available and affordable for every Malaysian family.
