Nortel發佈Think Small產品

Nortel Malaysia launches “Think Small” Product Portfolio for SMBs

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – With an established position in Malaysia’s enterprise market, Nortel* [NYSE/TSX: NT], a globally recognized leader in delivering communications capabilities, today reaffirmed its commitment to Malaysia’s growing small and medium business (SMB) market with the introduction of its “Grow your business. Think small” SMB campaign. This specially designed offering will provide customers with big value in a small package - delivering simple, scalable and easy to use products at a very affordable price.

An integral part of Nortel’s global strategy, the new SMB portfolio is built to cater to the specific needs and challenges of SMB customers. The new product range includes switches, routers and access points and will feature Nortel’s SMB flagship Business Communications Manager (BCM50), as well as a digital hybrid PBX supplied by Nortel’s Korean joint-venture, LG-Nortel. SMB customers will benefit from both voice and data enabled solutions backed by Nortel’s carrier-grade industry standards, dedicated marketing, support infrastructure and people.

In view of the launch in Malaysia, Mr. James Demers, Vice President, Nortel ASEAN and Pakistan said, “SMBs are in a unique position when it comes to technology infrastructure. There is a clear need to stay innovative and responsive as the business grows, but expensive converged solutions are an ill-fit for their business requirements. The “Grow your business. Think small” philosophy addresses this challenge with small solutions that hit above their weight class and are scalable, growing in tandem with the business.”

Commenting on Nortel’s channel strategy, Mr Armando Pascual, Regional Business Leader, Nortel SMB ASEAN' said, “The “Grow your business. Think small” approach is particularly relevant to Malaysia’s SMBs, where the economic and regulatory environment encourages SMB growth within the country and beyond. To help our distributor and resellers engage the SMB market, Nortel is investing in distributor and resellers training, strengthening our technical support and establishing a robust ecosystem for our SMB solutions. This will enable our distributor and resellers to expand their competencies in data and voice networking.”

The new comprehensive SMB portfolio will combine the traditionally distinct voice networking products and data networking products to provide a complete end-to-end solution. Nortel’s SMB solutions will be distributed through Ingram Micro and its focused resellers covering the length and breadth of the SMB segment across Malaysia.

Nortel’s new SMB focused channel program, nForce Select Partner Program provides its distributors and resellers with incentives to grow and expand the range of Nortel products, solutions and services they offer in their market and rewards them with increased visibility and reach. Resellers can register for the program online at www.nortel.com/prd/ecpp/apac.html
