HTC Offers Windows Mobile 6 Upgrade
Users of 838Pro, D810, P800W and U1000 get free upgrades

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 10 July 2007 - High Tech Computer Corp. (TAIEX: 2498; “HTC”), the world's leading provider of Microsoft® Windows Mobile® smart handheld devices, today announced that with effect from July 10, 2007, HTC will progressively offer ROM code downloads for free to existing users of 838Pro, D810, P800W and U1000. This will enable them to upgrade from the existing Windows Mobile 5 in their devices to the latest operating system - Windows Mobile 6.

Consumers can access http://www.asia.htc.com/asia/event/WM6/index.html to download the ROM code and relevant applications. Prior to the upgrading of operating system, HTC would like to remind consumers to backup their personal data as the data will be deleted after the upgrade. Downloads for the different devices are available according to the following schedule:

July 10: D810

July 12: 838Pro

July 13: P800W

July 20: U1000
