Dilithium brings pioneering Video Ringback Tone technology to Asia


August 20, 2007 – Dilithium, the leader in converged video solutions, is bringing a cutting-edge video ringback technology to Asia with the latest release of its VT-Ring™ video ringback platform.

Dilithium’s VT-Ring takes traditional ringback tones to new levels by combining video and audio content to provide a multimedia-rich experience. VT-Ring subscribers can personalize the calling experience for the calling party by configuring a music video clip, or their own video clip, as their personalized ringback tone. Media clips can be subscriber defined for specific individuals, families, groups, or allow for automatic system selection of media.

VT-Ring incorporates an improved interface to have the video stream quickly transition from video clip to real time video conversation without any noticeable delays from the call transition. This quick transition video connect is another significant improvement in the quality of the customer experience.

Also available in this new release is the support of MONA (ITU-T H.324 Annex K) accelerated call setup support. One of the improvements implemented by terminal suppliers of 3G video phones is acceleration improvement in the call setup time. Dilithium’s VT-Ring platform supports the improved 3G-324M call acceleration technique referred to as MONA (Media Oriented Acceleration Negotiations) to ensure rapid call setup times for playback of the video clip to the calling party. The technology in the MONA standard is based on Dilithium’s patented AnswerFast™ technology suite, and provides 3G video callers an ultra fast 3G-324M call setup time improvement.
