“Mobility is the key factor to many businesses today as many enterprises are moving towards a flexible and mobile environment for their employees who spend much of their time outside the office,” said Kelvin Lee, Senior General Manager of Green Packet Berhad. “Padu*Mobile offers enterprises a competitive edge providing seamless mobility in an economical and scalable solution, driving communication costs down by thirty to forty percent (30%-40%)” Lee added.

The signing ceremony establishes a synergistic partnership between the two organizations which are both home-grown leaders in their respective industries. With HeiTech as the distributor of Padu*Mobile, sales are expected to increase as enterprises in Malaysia’s public and private sectors in industries such as education, banking and finance, insurance, and healthcare understand the benefits it offers.

HeiTech already has a strong foothold in these industries through its managed services portfolio which is one of the reasons Green Packet identified HeiTech as the ideal distribution partner. In addition, HeiTech’s strength in providing regional support through its support centers nationwide further enhances the proposition.

“The move to streamline our channel business is in line with our direction for Green Packet moving forward. Channel sales contribute significantly to our bottom line hence our decision to work with HeiTech to achieve significant growth. [1]The enterprise mobility market workforce will grow from ten to fifteen percent (10% – 15%) annually. There is a large group of SMI and SME markets that are yet to operate from converged communications networks, therefore they would definitely stand to benefit a great deal from Padu*Mobile. Small and medium-sized companies can adopt this unified mode of communication as a cost-saving approach, by opting for the hosting model,” said Lee.

“This partnership allows us to expand our portfolio and to reach out to enterprises that are looking for change in the way their employees communicate by embracing simplicity and seamless mobility. This enhances our Padu*Net offerings which is one of our key products which focuses on connectivity for Wide Area Network,” said Abdul Halim Md. Lassim, Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of HeiTech Padu Berhad.

“Green Packet’s strength in research and development in the area of seamless mobility appeals and compliments our current strength and capability in systems integration thus completing HeiTech’s offering to the market. With this joint-value creation by both parties, Padu*Mobile thus is created hence ensuring seamless mobility, secured connectivity and unified communications. This gives our customers simplicity and convenience,” Halim added.

Green Packet and HeiTech are excited at the prospect of this partnership. There will be plans to bring “Padu*Mobile” to the Middle East continent where both companies have presence in and have already established foothold in their respective competencies.
