DELL APPOINTS NEW MANAGING DIRECTOR FOR GLOBAL BUSINESS CENTRE

CYBERJAYA, 8 September 2008 – Dell today announced the appointment of Bobbi Dangerfield as the Managing Director of Dell Global Business Centre (DGBC), based in Cyberjaya, Malaysia.

Dangerfield joined Dell Global Business Centre at Managing Director in May this year and her role as Site Lead encompasses IT Operations and day-to-day running of DGBC. Prior to coming to Malaysia, Dangerfield was General Manager for Dell El Salvador. She was responsible for leading Customer Tech Support, Consumer Sales and Care for both the United States (US) and Latin America markets. At the same time, she was in charge of the only site supporting Spanish-speaking customers in the US. Her leadership has created lasting bonds between Dell and the Salvadoran government through concerted efforts geared at increasing the education level of the population. Dangerfield also supports the community involvement projects that aimed at leaving a Dell legacy in El Salvador through improved health, environment and education for the population.

Dangerfield joined Dell in August 1999 as an IT director with responsibilities encompassing network, desktop and server support; help desk, systems operations, asset management and call centre technology services for all internal Dell functions. She also led the US Consumer Customer Care organisation, US Consumer Call Centre Operations, Customer Experience, Customer Centricity, and Global Technology Product Management organisations at Dell.

She has more than 20 years of experience in Information Systems, Customer Service and Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Before Dell, Dangerfield worked at Burlington Northern Santa Fe Railway, where she was assistant vice president, Distributed Technology and Marketing Systems Development. In 1998, she was included in the International “Who’s Who Among Women in Business” and is also a graduate of Leadership Texas 2004. Dangerfield is an active member of WISE in El Salvador and in the US, having been a key panellist in the 2007 AI Diversity Roadshow in Porto Alegre and Campinas in Brazil as well as in Austin, Texas.

She received her BBA in Marketing/Management from Dallas Baptist University and her MBA from Southern Methodist University. She is a member of the board of directors of the American Chamber of Commerce (AMCHAM) as well as on the Scholarship Committee of the Union Church of El Salvador.
