INTEL MALAYSIA ANNOUNCES ENTER AJE! CONTESTS WINNERS

Eight laptops worth more than RM15,000 presented to winners from across Malaysia

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan. 19, 2012 - Intel Malaysia today announced the eight winners from two contests held during its Enter aje! campaign, namely ‘PC? Saya Mau!’ and ‘PC ku. Teman ku!. The announcement marks the conclusion of the six-month nationwide campaign, which reached more than 200,000 people in 12 states.

Participants of the ‘PC? Saya Mau!’ contest had to submit slogan entries in 30 words or less to express reasons why they would like to own a PC. Meanwhile, the ‘PC ku. Teman ku!’ contest required participants to write short essays of 100-120 words to describe how the personal computer has impacted their lives. Contestants were allowed to submit entries in either English or Bahasa Malaysia.Both contests attracted an overwhelming response over the five month period, from 1 August through to 15 December 2011.Happy winners of Intel's Enter aje! contests. Also present are Mr. Chow Tee Wei, Senior Manager Technical Services for PC Division, Tele Dynamics Sdn Bhd, Mr. Khoo Hung Chuan, Country Manager, Lenovo Technology Sdn Bhd and Prakash Mallya, Country Manager Intel Malaysia.

“The contests were well received among the local communities, and the Enter aje! campaign as a whole has received a very encouraging response particularly during our roadshows,” said Prakash Mallya, Country Manager for Sales and Marketing, Intel Malaysia.

The Enter aje! campaign represents Intel Malaysia’s ongoing commitment to support the government’s agenda to drive connectivity, increase awareness of ICT, and promote PC usage and its benefits amongst more Malaysians.

“The success of the Enter aje! campaign bodes well for the country because it has enabled more Malaysians, especially those in underserved communities, today to have access to the PC and the internet. We would also like to thank our partners who had supported the Enter aje! campaign because we would not have achieved this level of success if not for the partners who shared a similar vision,” added Mallya.

Age 18 and above category (Prize - Lenovo laptop worth RM2,199)
“I want a PC because it connects me to the outer world and with Intel inside, it makes everything possible.” - Cindy Tan Ruan Mei

‘PC ku. Teman ku!’ Winners
Age 18 and above category:
Grand Prize Winner: Siti Aminah Zakaria
First-runner up: Mazlan Md Jamggi
Second-runner up: Zailani bt Sidek

Grand Prize winners for the ‘PC ku Teman ku!’ contest received a Toshiba laptop each worth RM2,399, while the first and second runner-up received a Toshiba laptop each worth RM1,850.
