Kuala Lumpur, January 30, 2013 – BenQ., the world’s No. 1 Digital Light Processing - DLP® projector brand and globally renowned provider of digital lifestyle innovations, today introduced 9 new award-winning projectors. BenQ will unveil several industry firsts aimed at redefining how quality and enjoyment are experienced within today’s business, and education environments.

New 3D Blu-Ray Projectors
In 2011, BenQ released a full range of DLP 3D-Ready projectors which enabled DLP projectors to transmit 3D data via the DLP Link, a special synchronization system built into 3D Ready DLP projectors where the glasses link to the projector without any special emitters or 3rd party transmission devices. Today, BenQ take 3D simulations in the classroom, home, 3D broadcasting, design animation, video games and so forth to new heights with the New 3D Blu-ray projectors.  The New 3D Blu-ray projectors provide 3D connectivity directly from Blu-ray players, gaming consoles and other supported 3D cable boxes in addition to PC, supporting recent formats and standards such as Nvidia 3DTV Play, DLP Link, and HDMI 1.4a.

The new MW519 and MW663 even use new generation TI DLP® (Texas Instrument Digital Light Processing) chipset equipping the latest 3D technology offering consumers the opportunity to choose compatible video contents and enjoyment of more delicate image quality. For education market, 3D definitely brings vivid image to catch students’ attention to make teaching more fun and efficient. Besides, three-dimensional pictures can provide more details in commercial market usage when customers understand a building project or a doctor clarify a medical case.

The new 5 and 6 series combine stunning image quality with support for 3D Blu-ray™ via HDMI® 1.4 and NVIDIA® 3DTV Play™ (MW519) for home entertainment, business and education applications in small and medium spaces.
Next Generation SmartEco Technology
Featuring its world-leading Next Generation SmartEco technology, BenQ brings big features to business and education at a lower total cost of ownership (TCO). SmartEco automatically adjusts lamp power to maximize energy savings by delivering the best contrast and brightness performance, using only as much light as needed. Other energy-efficient functions include Eco Blank, No Source Detected, and Standby modes that dim or blank out the screen whenever projection isn’t required. Users experience a lower TCO due to reduced lamp replacement costs, less maintenance than older devices, and lower total power consumption.

The new 5 series feature increases brightness of 2800 ANSI Lumens, improved contrast ratio of 13000:1, longer lamp life up to 6,500 hours, and SVGA (MS517), XGA (MX518), and WXGA (MW519) resolutions. The power consumption of XGA (MX520) at 3000 ANSI Lumens can also be reduced by up to 70 percent and houses multiple connectivity options

The new 6 series ranging in brightness of 3000 ANSI Lumens to 3500 Lumens with similar improvements in contrast ratio and longer lamp life and, XGA (MX662) and WXGA (MW663) resolutions include big feature sets such as PC-Less presentation and Wireless LAN Display.

Lamp Free Projectors
BenQ will continue to pioneer investments in lamp free projection technologies including the Blue Core Laser Projection technology with Short-Throw DLP lens - XGA (LX60ST) and WXGA (LW61ST) that were debuted in 2012.
