SEEBURGER Launches IT Microsite for Corporate CIOs in Malaysia

German leading IT vendor shares thought leadership insights to drive competitiveness in financial services industry (FSI)

Kuala Lumpur, 29 APRIL 2013 — SEEBURGER, the leading German-based business integration and enterprise class Managed File Transfer (MFT) solutions provider, today announced the availability of its financial services centric technology Microsite — www.seeburgerfsi.com as a research and resources (R&R) center for local Chief Information Officers (CIOs).

The new SEEBURGER’s microsite presents an across-the-board look at trends, opportunities, challenges and issues that concern the financial services industry (FSI) worldwide, as well as features SEEBURGER’s thought leadership on revolutionary IT impacts in this industry.

James Hatcher, Managing Director of SEEBURGER APAC, says the establishment of the Microsite intends to create higher awareness of data integrity and security within the financial services landscape, whilst advocating the company's business directions in FSI.

“This is an example how SEEBURGER puts significant investments into identifying the patterns of ICT changes in FSI that pave the way for FSI players to see how they can capitalize IT trends to continually uphold data integrity,” he says.

He adds that the Microsite also serves the needs of business decision makers, analysts, technology practitioners and even the mass public.

Advocating Best Practices in Data Governance

According to Deloitte’s global financial services industry security survey (October 2012), FSI organizations in Asia Pacific have made information security governance as their top security initiative. More than 50% of respondents of over 250 financial services organizations from 39 countries that were surveyed reported an increase in their information security budgets.

Today, despite the security focus on other industries, FSI continues to be a top target for data breaches, caused by hacks, insider data theft, and the loss of a portable device that contains financial or private information.

"The SEEBURGER’s Microsite features prominent content to help CIOs think of ways to innovate their existing IT infrastructures under the pressure of Big Data to address security challenges, govern the disclosure of customers’ personal financial information and simplify compliances,” explains Hatcher.

He also shares that the Microsite’s user friendly interface allows busy executives to find and download the information they need quickly and easily.

In the next coming weeks, SEEBURGER will be adding several more new sections including collaterals and videos to enrich the Microsite’s contents. The Microsite will be updated on a regular basis to reflect the key forces and dynamics, which are shaping the financial services market.

“IT decision makers will find the microsite very helpful for suggestions to exploit IT to maintain a competitive yet sustainable edge for their business," he ends.
