Oracle Unveils Oracle Endeca Information Discovery 3.1

Empowers Business Users to Expedite Decision-Making with Enhanced Self-service Discovery Capabilities

KUALA LUMPUR, November 19, 2013 - Oracle Corporation (NYSE: ORCL), the world's leading IT solution provider, today releases  the Oracle Endeca Information Discovery 3.1 that helps organizations to increase business agility and performance.

This latest version of Oracle’s enterprise class data discovery platform offers business users additional self-service data mashup and discovery capabilities, extended support for unstructured analytics and an even tighter integration with industry-leading Oracle Business Intelligence software.

Oracle Endeca Information Discovery 3.1 (OEID 3.1) is designed with new capabilities empowering business users to use analytics easily to incorporate the wide variety of information they have access to in decision making.

The new functionality includes:

iv)           Enterprise-Class Self-Service Discovery: Most data discovery products have their roots as desktop tools, Oracle Endeca’s discovery technology started as enterprise infrastructure used by IT organizations to drive mission critical applications over significant user and data volumes with air-tight security and fast, scalable performance.

Oracle now also provides best-of-breed data access to website content through the Oracle Endeca Web Acquisition Toolkit. In order to harvest content from the Web, this new offering provides an agile, graphical interface for developers rapidly to access and integrate any information exposed through a web front-end.
