Lawson Software Wins Fashion Awards in 2007 China ERP Software Competition

Awards strengthens Lawson’s position as a global ERP software vendor for the fashion industry

SINGAPORE, May 21, 2008 – Lawson Software (Nasdaq: LWSN) today announced that it was selected as the sole winner of the “2007 Excellent Solution for the Garment & Textile Industry” award in the 2007 China ERP Software Competition sponsored by AMT. It was also voted as a Top 10 Vendor of Business Software in the Garment and Textile Industry in China, in the same competition that was organized by AMT Academy and supported by the China Software Association.

Lawson’s client, Zhejiang Yaying Garment Co., Ltd., also won the “Best Application Benchmark for the Fashion Industry” award.

AMT, an independent business information organization, invited experts from AMT Academy, senior consultants, executives from the China Software Association and professors from renowned universities across the country to appraise the solutions. The final winners were selected through online voting and customer feedback.

User experience and customer evaluation served as the basis for the experts’ opinion, so as to provide voters with unbiased, transparent and authoritative references when they selected the solutions.

In this competition, Lawson received recognition from both experts and web surfers with its professional service skills and customer successful practices, and won several awards.

Lawson is recognized as a leading solution provider for fashion industry. Since it entered China more than 10 years ago, it has helped more than 70 large and notable fashion, accessory and footwear companies to achieve effective management and streamline their complex supply chain. Its customers include TAL, MIZUNO China, Youngor Group, Taizilong Finery Group and Belle Footwear, One of Lawson’s customers, Zhejiang Yaying Fashions Co. Ltd., is a famous Sino-Italian company for women’s wear. Its annual revenue is over RMB500 million (USD67 million) , with 2,800 workers and over 300 retail stores.

Yaying selected Lawson’s fashion industry solution in 2006, and launched the system in eight months’ time. Its business processes, such as production, planning, procurement, warehousing and financial management, have since been managed centrally. It has also established a sophisticated supply chain solution to support its long-term strategic development, including multi-brand operation and exploration of global markets.

Lawson acquired Freeborders PLM software in March this year to further strengthen its offering in fashion industry solutions. Through continuous extension of its solutions, Lawson continues to deepen the industry-specific functionality of its enterprise software offerings.
