SINAGPORE, September 9, 20011 – Autodesk, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADSK), a leader in 3D design, engineering and entertainment software, has appointed V. R. Srivatsan as the Managing Director for ASEAN effective August 5, 2011.
In this role, Srivatsan is responsible for the overall strategy and growth of Autodesk’s business across ASEAN, covering all of the company’s industries and product segments. Building strategic partnerships across the region will also be a key focus area.

Srivatsan has over 22 years of experience in the IT industry, holding various leadership roles in multinational organizations, including SAP and Oracle. Prior to joining Autodesk, Srivatsan was the Managing Director for SAP Malaysia. He was responsible for driving SAP’s strategy, business and operations in the country. In addition, Srivatsan was also responsible for the sales of Business Analytics and Technology solutions and Line of Business Solutions across the South East Asia Markets.
A frequent seminar and conference speaker, he lectures about knowledge management, supply chain management, customer relationship management and enterprise resource management.

Srivatsan holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and a Master’s Degree in Industrial and Management Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York, United States. He is also certified in Production and Inventory Management by the American Production and Inventory Control Society.
