Tricubes Unveils myemail Services

Kuala Lumpur, Wednesday, 5 October: TRICUBES BERHAD (TRICUBES) today highlighted the various functions and services of myemail, which have been made available to the general public since September 14, following two months of beta testing.

The myemail service is a free email initiative allowing Malaysians direct and secure communication with government agencies. It will also provide subscribers with high volume, secure, electronic document delivery solutions as well as exclusive promotions.

Tricubes’ chief executive Khairun Zainal Mokhtar said that one of myemail’s value propositions is that the service pushes bills, notices and statements to customers rather than requiring them to pull their bills from billers’ or third party portals, thus providing an extra convenience.

Furthermore, as users are authenticated and verified using myKad, billers are assured that documents are sent to the right person. He said that the e-billing service for notices and bill presentment also enable cost-savings for billers in terms of printing and postage.

myemail is based on the Microsoft Windows Live platform, providing registered users with the advantages of Windows Live features such as unlimited email space, 25 GB cloud storage and access to online Microsoft tools which allows users to create, modify, share and store documents online.

Tricubes has also signed up with its first four partners; JackCow, WeddingKami, Allscript and Tutor.com.

On the company’s financial status, Khairun said that Tricubes is on track towards financial regularisation. As a part its future revenue generation plan, Tricubes has expanded its business strategies to include an online business vertical that encompasses mass market and business-to-business solutions.

“myemail is the part of our online business which reaches out to the public. The B2B solution, which targets small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is Tam Tam Customer Relationship Management. Both use the same cloud infrastructure,” said Khairun.

Tricubes’ current enterprise segment business encompasses identity authentication solutions (IAS) and enterprise mobility solutions (EMS).

“In order to grow our revenue, we have to scale up our business faster. We used to spend a lot on R&D to develop the technology for very niche clients and we are now leveraging it with a more mass market approach via the online business, which optimises our existing technology,” said Khairun.

Recently, Tricubes announced the acceptance of a contract from Polis DiRaja Malaysia (PDRM) for the supply, delivery, installation testing and commissioning of PDRM’s mobile access devices used for online enquiries by over 3,000 police personnel. The contract, valued at RM4.4 million will be for three years, is part of the Tricubes’ EMS offerings.

Over the last 13 years, Tricubes has been a leading supplier in the IAS segment with an installed base of over 50,000 biometrics and smartcard devices to over 200 organisations.

“Moving forward, the IAS segment will remain a strong contributor to the company’s revenue. This is achieved through new customer-base as well as device and technology replacements from our existing customers,” added Khairun.
