Maxis brings the eagerly anticipated iPhone 4S to customers

Maxis Berhad (‘Maxis’), Malaysia’s leading integrated communications provider, is pleased to introduce the eagerly anticipated iPhone 4S to its customers at the stroke of midnight, with a special launch event at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. Concurrently, Maxis also introduced the device in Johor Bahru, Penang, Kuantan, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. The iPhone 4S will be available starting Friday, 16 December 2011, at all Maxis Centres and Maxis Exclusive Partners (MEPs) nationwide.

Maxis is offering four new iValue plans for customers, with the highest combined mobile & WiFi data of up to 11GB, enabling them to truly enjoy their feature-rich device. Loyal Maxis customers who have been part of its iPhone community since Maxis launched the iPhones 3G, 3GS and 4, will be the first out of the many iPhone enthusiasts who have registered their interest to get the iPhone 4S from Maxis and to enjoy the new plans automatically.

Among the new enhancements to its iValue plans include increased data quota as well as free WiFi connection of 4GB per month across all Maxis hotspots nationwide. With the added free WiFi connection, Maxis now offers customers the highest mobile data allocation. To check out the nearest WiFi hotspot, customers can download the Maxis WiFi application from the App store for free.

Under a Maxis plan, the new iPhone 4S comes with Maxis-developed applications. One such application is Maxis’ Customer Service app, which is the first telco customer service app available on the iPhone in Malaysia. With this application, Maxis customers can easily access their account and bill information, subscribe or unsubscribe to value added services and contact Maxis’ Customer Service using a preferred channel at their convenience.
