KUALA LUMPUR, 29 February 2012 – It is an unfortunate fact of life that lecturers and business executives will not always have the benefit of a large auditorium for their presentations. As most projectors require a fair amount of distance to the wall in order to project a decent-sized image, this results in smaller and less eye-catching slides.
Canon, a leader in Digital Imaging, has set out to eliminate this problem with the LV-8235 UST DLP multimedia projector. The competitively-priced projector has an ultra-short throw projection distance that allows it to project a large screen even in smaller rooms. Presenters can feel more confident that their presentations can be delivered with the desired visual impact, whether in a small or large room. It combines this with a powerful internal speaker, long-lasting parts and user-friendly features to make it an ideal aid for lecturers and business presenters.
“At Canon we want to be able provide solutions to the different needs of our consumers and one of the common problems has been projecting presentations in a confined space. Now with the LV-8235 UST DLP multimedia projector, you don’t need to worry about presenting in small rooms!” commented Mr. Donny Ling, Director of Consumer System Products Division, Canon Marketing Malaysia Sdn Bhd.
Make a large statement
The most engaging presentations are usually aided by large and eye-catching slides, and the LV-8235 UST is designed to deliver such slides even in less spacious rooms. With a short distance of 32cm (slightly longer than the average office ruler), the LV-8235 UST can project a large 80-inch screen. Even if the projector is installed flush against the screen wall, its superior projecting capabilities will still allow it to project a 74.6-inch image. With adequate space (45.5cm), it can project a 110-inch screen size, making it equally ideal for small and large rooms.
The short projection distance not only overcomes space constraints, but also provides the added benefit of glare reduction. As the LV-8235 UST's lamp projects light in a steep overhead angle, presenters are able to stand closer to the screen without being blinded by the projector lamp. It also eliminates any shadows that would be cast by the presenter onto the screen, resulting in clearer, unobstructed images.
To further enhance the larger-than-life impact of its images, the LV-8235 UST is also capable of supporting the projection of 3D images that burst out of the screen with dynamic realism. This functionality will not only improve sales and educational presentations, but will also expand the LV-8235 UST's potential in amusement facilities and museum exhibits. It is fully compatible with NVIDIA's 3D Vision system, allowing over 400 PC games to be savoured in full 3D on a large screen.
To retain sharp imagery at such large screen sizes, the LV-8235 UST is equipped with a WXGA panel, capable of resolutions as high as 1280 x 800 pixels. This resolution is comparable to those of modern laptop computers, so the projected images will be identical to those on the computer screen, without any unsightly cropping.
Ease of use
The LV-8235 UST has many other traits that increase its user-friendliness. Long-life parts like the lamp (3,000 hours in eco-mode) and air filter (4,000 hours) greatly reduce the amount of maintenance needed. In the event that these parts need servicing, indicators will remind the user to replace them. Replacing the lamp is also an easy task, as the LV-8235 UST is designed in a way that the lamp can be replaced even when the projector is still mounted to the ceiling.
A truly multimedia-oriented projector, the LV-8235 UST contains an inbuilt 10W speaker that plays vibrant sounds, negating the need for bulky external speakers.
The LV-8235 UST multimedia projector is available in stores now at the recommended retail price of RM5, 988.00
