A musical journey brought to life on the GALAXY Note II
Kuala Lumpur, 23 November 2012 – Samsung, a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, has renewed its creative partnership with singer-songwriter and GALAXY Note II ambassador, Yuna Zarai.
Building on the success of the first project – the award-winning Sparkle Project – Samsung and Yuna will now embark on a journey aided by the GALAXY Note II, bringing everything special about Malaysia to life. GALAXY Wonderland is a musical voyage brought to life on Samsung’s latest flagship, the GALAXY Note II, and celebrates Malaysia’s identity through its culture, places, and art. Yuna will once again work with a host of creative collaborators as well as her fans to paint a Malaysian Wonderland through the eyes of its people.

Samsung is committed to provide people with enriching experiences, and creating this beautiful collection of inspiring personal stories with everyday Malaysians is yet another avenue for us to do so,” said Vincent Chong, Head of Mobile Phone Division at Samsung Malaysia Electronics.
Rallying Malaysians to submit stories about their inspirations on GALAXY Wonderland’s online portal, galaxywonderland.my, Yuna will use these personal accounts to find her own creative spark to write a new song.
Inspired by the stories shared on GALAXY Wonderland, illustrators, armed with the GALAXY Note II, will populate the online portal with whimsical illustrations. This rich portal curates all the stories from Malaysians and features an ever-growing and expanding landscape of ideas and surreal elements. More than that, these beautiful representations of Malaysian stories will be incorporated in a music video featuring Yuna’s new song and produced with the GALAXY Note II.
Launched in early October, the GALAXY Note II is designed for everyday creativity, offering efficient capturing and expression of ideas. This makes the device the perfect tool to accompany Yuna on her Wonderland journey.
Yuna’s journey on GALAXY Wonderland will be featured in a series on Astro Ria, where she explores the stories submitted by Malaysians in finding inspiration for her song.
Samsung and Yuna’s first collaboration, the Sparkle Project, saw Malaysia’s first music video created with the GALAXY Note. This musical partnership is a true showcase of creativity and a testament to what can be achieved when people, music, and technology are brought together. Recently, the Sparkle music video won the Best Music Video award on Anugerah Industri Musik (AIM), Malaysia’s premier music award-giving ceremony.
Speaking about her partnership with Samsung, Yuna said, “This creative collaboration with Samsung is special, and it made winning the AIM award possible! I’m very happy to be on board for the next project, and I can’t wait to see the GALAXY Wonderland space brought to life by everyday Malaysians.”
