Printing Excellence Assured with FINE technologyThe Canon PIXMA MX868 produces prints at 9600 x 2400 dpi using Full-Photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) technology with microscopic droplets of just 1 picolitre to stand out against competitors.

Canon has not ignored the other features of the PIXMA MX868 and maintained absolute quality throughout. Inkjet printing excellence is obvious with Canon’s new entrant whether it’s Auto Duplex Print, Scan and Copying functions. Also with the high-capacity 35-sheet Auto Document Feeder (ADF), or the high-speed Super G3 fax, the PIXMA MX868 will make printing a smooth experience.

Impressive New Copy Functions
Loaded with new copy functions, the PIXMA MX868 is capable of allowing binding margin copies. Simply put , the printer leaves a margin of 13.5mm to 19.5mm so that important documents do not get cropped off during the binding process.
Another key feature is the punch-hole removal copy function, cleverly masking the spaces left by office hole punchers. Last but not least, the PIXMA MX868 is also capable of endorsing printing dates and page numbers on copies (up to 999 pages).

The PIXMA MX868 prints high quality documents at 8.4 ipm (black) and 5.6 ipm (colour) and is capable of high speed photo printing of a 4 x 6” borderless photo in just 41 seconds. The PIXMA MX868 is also equipped with wireless LAN to share printing and scanning functions with multiple users. Users also have the option of a Bluetooth adapter for printing from Bluetooth-equipped mobile phones.
The PIXMA MX868 is designed with a large 2.5” TFT colour viewer which is ideal for reviewing images direct from memory cards and cameras. NEW STANDARDS FOR PRINT AND COPY SPEED
Canon supports the latest ISO/IEC FCD 24734 and 24735 Productivity Standards. Under the ISO FDIS, manufacturers of printers are encouraged to adopt a common measurement system to quote print and copy speed performance. This makes it easier for users to choose products according to their printing and copying needs.
Canon adopts print and copy speeds based on the ISO FDIS. The ISO/IEC FCD 24734 and 24735 standards will also indicate “ipm” (images per minute) for print and copy speeds instead of ppm” (pages per minute).
