Fujitsu Collaborates with IDS to Boost Channels Revenue Contribution for Malaysia

Infotech Distribution System (IDS) is highest ranked partner for Fujitsu Malaysia

Kuala Lumpur, 4th October – Fujitsu, Asia’s No.1 ICT solution provider, today announces its partnership with local distributor Infotech Distribution System Sdn. Bhd. (IDS) as part of Fujitsu Malaysia’ strategy to deepen its local market penetration via IT channel partners.

According to IDS Managing Director, Mr. Ros Sham Sirun, the company is now officially affiliated with Fujitsu Malaysia as a Fujitsu SELECT EXPERT partner.

“Being a Fujitsu SELECT EXPERT partner, IDS is the highest of three tiers of partnership levels with this leading Japanese ICT solution. We are also the first certified Fujitsu SELECT EXPERT partner since the program has been introduced to Malaysia several years ago,” says Mr. Ros Sham.

Currently, Fujitsu Malaysia’s channel partners contribute about 60 percent of its Platform Products business.

NOTE: Fujitsu Malaysia business is broadly segregated into a) Platform Products (servers, storage, and scanners) b) Infrastructure Integration Services c) Network Services d) Applications Services e) Managed /Outsourcing services.

According to Charles Lew, President of Fujitsu Malaysia, the company is targeting to grow this percentage by 30 per cent through the formalisation of more partnerships with local IT distributors by 2012.

“Fujitsu Malaysia is also looking forward to the expansion of its channel partner strategy to bring up the sales of our focused industries: Public Service/Government, Telecommunications, Healthcare, Education, Enterprise, Oil & Gas and Financial Services.”
