PC Expo 2013 KL excitement next week

The first PC Expo 2013 KL starts next week at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur with lots of bargains plus Iron Man 3 collectibles and contests

May 17, 2013, KUALA LUMPUR – The first PC Expo 2013 KL will start next week at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur. More than 90 exhibitors are participating in the three day fest, which features digital lifestyle bargains, including the complete range of Iron Man 3 USB collectibles and contests.

Exhibitors include Acer Sales & Services Sdn Bhd (Booth 100), Canon Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd (Booth 101), Dell Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Booths 104 , 204), Lenovo Technology Sdn Bhd (Booth 103), Hewlett-Packard (M) Sdn Bhd (Booths 106, 202) and many more. According EM Exhibitions (M) Sdn Bhd project director Jeslynn Wong Lee Chen, the first edition of PC Expo 2013 KL expects more than 180,000 visitors, taking advantage of Wesak Day, a public holiday which falls on May 24, as well as the start of school holidays. “Shoppers will be in for a treat as the Expo is rightly sorted with school-holiday offers and mid-year promotional offers for digital lifestyle devices and services.”

In addition, she confirmed several offers including trade-in rebates of up to RM100 for Western Digital hard disk drives and Buy-1-Free-1 offer for Avast Internet Security 7. There are also numerous value deals like Seagate Expansion 1TB portable hard disk at RM189, Garmin Nuvi 40LM at RM388, Canon Inkjet All-in-One Printer MX366 at RM249 (normal retail price at RM418) and Canon Colour Laser Printer LBP7018C at RM499 (normal retail price at RM848). “These devices, especially the printers, are very attractively priced,” she said.

In addition, this is the first time PC Expo 2013 KL features the complete range of limited edition Iron Man 3 USB Collectibles priced at RM109 for the 8GB version (normal retail price at RM129) and RM149 for the 16GB version (normal retail price at RM169). “Enthusiasts can look forward to PC Expo 2013 KL next week as it is the first time an entire series of Iron Man 3 USB Collectibles is available,” she said.

Regulars to PC Expo like Foong Shee Siong, Nur Jasmine bt. Shafiq Aroki and Toh Pey Pey are itching to shop for smartphones and tablets next week. “PC Expo has a good variety and I enjoy the broad digital lifestyle exposure and choices,” said Foong. Nur Jasmine will be bargain shopping for accessories to complement for her Samsung Galaxy S3 as well as her laptop. “I have set a purchasing budget but I’m undecided. Next week will probably find shopping from booth-to-booth. Similarly, Toh also echoed a similar plan and commented PC Expo has proven to feature good bargains and great deals. “Asides from the variety of offers and digital lifestyle devices, I hope the organisers would place some emphasis on better visitor traffic flow and comfort. There’re thousands of visitors and often, I am at PC Expo for hours. It’s fun but tiring.”

 Wong confirmed PC Expo 2013 next week would feature improvements. “PC Expo has built visitor loyalty and earned a positive reputation. We appreciate the support from everyone. I think in this edition, the range of digital lifestyle devices has expanded to include more audio accessories.” For example, Amici Sdn Bhd (Booth 209) will be featuring the recently launched range of Blaupunkt Style On-The-Ear headphones. “There’re lots of devices out there with audio jacks like smartphones and tablets and frankly, we think consumers are itching to lay their hands on better quality choices.”

In addition, she said, “We’re giving away lots of goodies for our fans Like, Share and Win contest*. The main prize is a Samsung Galaxy S4 while the rest are equally exciting which comprise seven types of Iron Man 3 USB Collectibles,” she added. Each Iron Man 3 USB collectible comes in two flavours; 8GB and 16GB, and fashioned as Iron Man 3 (Arc), Iron Man 3 (Mark 42), Iron Man 3 (Mark V1), Iron Man 3 Left Hand, Iron Man 3 Right Hand, Iron Man 3 Iron Patriot and Iron Man 3 War Machine. PC Expo 2013 continues June 28 to 30 at Melaka International Trade Centre in Melaka, July 5 to– 7 at three locations; Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Johor Bahru, Alor Setar Mall in Alor Setar and Dewan Tunku Ibrahim Ismail in Kluang. The final leg will be held Aug 23 to 25 at Penang International Sports Arena in Penang.
