JAMS BE GONE, WORK BE DONE

~Ricoh steps up its game with new and improved multifunction printers~

Kuala Lumpur, 30 May 2014 – As a successor to the first SP 100 series launched just last year, Ricoh (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.’s latest refined compact black and white multifunction laser printer, the SP 112 series has made a significant upgrade in productivity, functionality and paper handling – even providing the first ever, long awaited solution to ridding one of the most frustrating work hindrances known to men – “paper jams”.

The new and improved SP112 series is set to edge out Ricoh (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.’s competition as it is a quintessential fit for all personal, SMB, small and home office use, providing cutting edge office and print solutions poised to enhance and increase work efficiency.
Aside from now supporting a wider range of paper sizes, one of the revolutionary highlights of the SP 112 series is its robust and excellent paper handling ability to perpetuate an undisturbed printing performance even with the input of crumpled and torn paper, improving work efficiency and productivity by minimising unnecessary time wastage and unwanted headaches in solving technical difficulties, especially those spent on removing paper jams.
Designed in line with low end printers, the SP 112 series is one of the slimmest printers in the market that is small, lightweight, and portable, making it mobile and flexible for its users, all while it maintains its versatility and reliability. This is reflected in the SP 112 series’ ability to feature an Energy Saver Mode, a manual duplex printing option, and an all-in-one toner cartridge function which in fact, collectively contributes to a low start-up and maintenance cost.
Further to its enhancement, the SP 112 series sees an improved Automatic Document Feeder (AFD) speed as well as an increased print speed of 16ppm (from its previous speed of 13ppm). With one push of a button, its ID copy function is capable of producing multiple copies with good copy image quality handling that is supported by various paper sizes, including A6, A5, Half-Letter (HLT) and A4 sized papers. Additionally, the SP 112SF model with built in fax functions  enables up to 100 speed dials with its brand new noticeably fast fax function armed with the speed compatibility of  a Super G3 (33.6Kbps modem speed).

“At Ricoh (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd., we live by our brand tagline “imagine. change.” whereby we constantly strive to achieve technological breakthroughs through unleashing new ways of thinking that will improve lives and catalyse society advancement. We are passionate and committed to helping our customers embrace these changes through innovation,” said Peter Wee, Chief Operating Officer of Ricoh (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd.

In addition to the introduction of the SP112 series, Ricoh (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. also introduced its newly refined SP C250 and SP C252 series, a full colour laser and multifunction printer with a compact footprint, ideal not only for small offices and home offices, but for the SMB and vertical industry players as well.
Perfectly packaged with this improved product comes a great economical and versatile colour printer built for reliable and efficient productivity that lowers total cost of ownership with its Economy Colour mode, long-life components, and an impressive duty of 30,000 pages per month for the SP 250 series, and 65,000 pages per month for the SP 252 series, ensuring peak volumes are matched. Donning a new slick design, the eco compliant printer with both colour and black and white print output of 20ppm, also highlights state-of-the-art image quality with up to 2,400 x 600dpi resolution.  Moreover, its wired and wireless connectivity allows effortless mobile printing from Smart Devices via the Ricoh Smart Print and Scan mobile print app, adding flexibility with wired and wireless connectivity options.

“Companies today can find confidence and assurance in credible business partners to pursue work advancement in order to remain competitive in the business. Ricoh, for example, is able to help companies achieve that by being a total office, IT and business solutions provider,” said Mr. Wee.

RICOH Introduces The Ultra-Smart, Ultra-Light, Ultra-Flexible PJ WX4130N Projector

The essential easy-to-use tool for perfect presentations

Kuala Lumpur, 04 April, 2012 – RICOH, known around the world for cutting-edge innovation and outstanding products and services, presents the groundbreaking RICOH PJ WX4130N projector.

Smart, sleek and easy to use, this unique device was found to be the world’s lightest, smallest and closest-range mirror reflection type projector based on research conducted by RICOH.Margaret Mo, Marketing Manager at RICOH Malaysia said the company intends to change the game when it comes to high-quality visual presentations for business, education or leisure. “Our state-of-the-art projector represents the next generation of visual aids,” she explained. “It offers a new, innovative, 21st century approach to giving presentations and with the simple settings and advanced network functions, it can be used anywhere and operated by just about anyone.”

The PJ WX4130N elevates and simplifies the art of presenting visual information thanks to the ultra short-throw feature, which creates crystal clear large-screen images of 48 inches when placed just 11.7 cm away from the projection surface. This means it can be placed virtually right in front of the screen. Standard projectors and ordinary short-throw projectors need a distance of at least 1 to 3 meters for comparable results.
Mo explained: “The ultra short throw capability is made possible with the use of an original free-form mirror, which is an exclusive innovation by RICOH,” She added that the ultra short throw function opens up a world of remarkable space-saving benefits. “The projector can be used for presentations in really small rooms or places that were previously considered too narrow so your options are almost limitless. You won’t need huge conference rooms anymore!”

The ultra short throw feature also easily eliminates other challenges that contribute to low quality presentations like shadows caused by the silhouette of the presenter and distracting glare. The RICOH PJ WX4130N can be placed between the presenter and the screen, eliminating shadows as well glare. This means the audience can concentrate on the images, which appear on the screen without unnecessary distractions.
Weighing in at just 3.0 kg, this projector is ideal for use in various locations as it is easily transportable. Another handy feature is the wall colour correction, which can be used to adjust the colour of the projected image according to the colour of the background for high-quality pictures.

Portability and colour correction equal incredible flexibility because the projector is ready to be used in open spaces such as cafeterias, school laboratories or corridors for a quick, effective paperless meeting or seminar.

This impressive flexibility also means the projector can take on a wide variety of creative roles. It can be used as an electric poster or to show promotional videos at expos and conferences. It is also perfect for running advertisements in retail stores or for screening live sports performances at sports bars.

The RICOH PJ WX4130N projector is also an environment-friendly device. It consumes just 0.17Watts of power when on standby mode and the special eco mode cuts lamp intensity and power consumption by 25% while in use. When the power is off, the projector accurately indicates carbon dioxide reduction levels.

Aside from these fantastic functions, RICOH’s high-tech projector offers a host of other user-friendly and versatile features including:

• a multi-functional remote control that can be used to operate the projectors from a distance.
• a USB memory drive, which allows a USB with the relevant files to be plugged directly into the projector for computer-free presentations (JPEG & MPEG files only).
• quick start feature so the projectors can start up in just 5 seconds .
• an auto set function which can adjust images at the touch of a button.
• a ‘magnify’ button on the remote control to easily enlarge images.
• a standard accessory Kensington Lock that effectively prevents theft.
• an AV Mute and Freeze button on the remote control, which can be used to efficiently pause both image and audio in the middle of a presentation.
• a no-fuss, single cable connection to a Blu-Ray Disc player, computer or other device for clear high-definition images.
• password setting and key lock that prevents unauthorized use of the projector or unwanted adjustments while it is in use.
• a unique DLP Link Technology that enables the projectors to screen 3D images.
• a multi screen function which allows the content from one computer to be projected on up to four screens.

Mo said there is a fundamental philosophy that propels RICOH to create versatile, user-friendly products: “At RICOH, our key driving force is to produce extraordinarily advanced technology presented in an extraordinarily easy to use form. We have achieved this goal with our innovative projectors which make flexibility and freedom of expression not just a possibility but a reality.”

The RICOH PJ WX4130N projector retails at RM6,689. For more information or to purchase this state-of-the-art device, logon to www.ricoh.com.my or please contact 1-300-88-8228.

Malaysia, 17 November 2008 – Ricoh, a global leader in digital office solutions, today introduced an all-new mid-range black-and-white desktop laser printer, the Aficio SP 3300DN. Compact and cost efficient, Aficio SP 3300DN is an ideal printing option that delivers excellent performance. With high output speed of 28 pages-per-minute (ppm) and output resolution of up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi, this printer enables businesses to create impeccable documents in-house.

Optimum productivity is assured as the Aficio SP 3300DN has a short warm-up time and the first print is generated in a speedy 8.5 seconds. Boasting a powerful 400MHz CPU processor and standard 32MB RAM, the printer allows fast and seamless printing. Additionally, expect more than just printing with the Aficio SP 3300DN. The system allows users to scale images from many pages to one, create posters and customize watermarks. Mindful of today’s competitive cost pressures, Ricoh keeps the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for Aficio SP 3300DN low. Equipped with common print functionalities, this laser printer is highly affordable for small businesses, home offices and medium-size workgroups. Furthermore, its built-in automatic duplex print feature reduces paper costs. Due to long yield of its consumables, cost per print is minimized while the monthly duty cycle of 50,000 prints allows for high productivity. The printer’s unique TonerSave mode extends the life of toner cartridges and helps lower overall TCO. Designed with a small footprint, the Aficio SP 3300DN has a lightweight frame that fits perfectly in a space-restricted environment.

Despite its compact size, the Aficio SP 3300DN provides amazing flexibility in paper handling. It is equipped with a standard 250-sheet paper tray with an option to expand with another 250-sheet paper feed unit. The printer accepts all standard paper sizes from A4 to A5. The bypass tray supports a wide range of media including envelopes, transparencies, postcards, labels, custom-sized materials and heavy paper of up to 163 gsm. As with all Ricoh products, Aficio SP 3300DN is designed with environmental preservation in mind. Attributes such as low power consumption (less than 11W), longer unit life with highly recyclable parts make it the preferred printer choice.

Ricoh’s New Range of GelSprinters Packs a Punch

Latest All-in-One desktop printers offer businesses colour printing at low total cost of ownership

Malaysia, 7 August 2008 – Ricoh, a global leader in digital office solutions, today unveiled its GelSprinter Desktop Multifunctional Printer series that delivers powerful desktop performance to small offices and workgroups. The new all-in-one GX3000S, GX3000SF and GX3050SFN desktop multifunctional printers (MFP) combine vibrant colour printing, scanning and copying with faxing capabilities in one stylish, flexible design ideal for businesses that are looking to minimize total cost of ownership of a MFP.

Featuring Ricoh’s cutting-edge GelSprinter technology, the GelSprinter GX3000S, GX3000SF and GX3050SFN series uses quick-dry, viscous ink droplets that minimize spreading and eliminate bleed-through to produce crisp, non-smudge images. The pigment-based ink which is waterproof and sun-resistant, enables print-outs to be highlighted without smearing, thus creating a huge advantage for printing marketing materials, student handouts and architectural plans. With short start up to first print response time, the GelSprinter models print faster than most inkjets at 29 ppm (pages per minute) for both colour and black-and-white documents with superior colour quality similar to colour laser prints. Standard Auto-duplex printing feature in all models also promote efficiency and lower energy consumption.

Boasting print resolution of up to an equivalent of 3600 x 1200 dpi, the new GelSprinter models produce bold and stunning colour graphics on a variety of media ranging from thick paper and glossy paper to transparencies. The printers’ full-colour scanning function at 1200 dpi enables users to digitize hardcopy and deliver documents electronically instantaneously via its easy-to-use Scan-to-Email and Scan-to-FTP options. Furthermore, fax documents are rapidly transmitted through the built-in Super G3 modem for both GX3000SF and GX3050SFN.

The printers’ viscous ink cartridges offer higher yields compared to dye-based ink cartridges. Colour printing costs are further reduced with the printers’ Level Colour Mode feature, which reduces ink density of up to 50% for graphics and images without affecting the readability of text, hence allowing cost-per-page for colour prints at less or equal to that of black-and-white documents. The result is a lower total cost of ownership.

Designed for convenience and reliability, the GelSprinter GX3000S, GX3000SF and GX3050SFN are packed with user-friendly features such as hassle-free front loading ink cartridges and easy-to-use operational panel. With a maximum paper capacity of 850 sheets, these printers ensure continuous workflow and productivity. Troubleshooting is also made easy with advance @Remote utility. When supplies are running low, administrators will be notified via email, thus reducing downtime. With embedded masking pattern attribute, confidential documents are kept away from unauthorized copying and scanning.

“The launch of these cost-effective all-in-one GelSprinter series will bring the advantages of full-colour performance to boost productivity to the SMBs. We are certain that the AIO GelSprinter range will be well accepted due to its advanced colour print technology and low total cost of ownership,” said Lim Eng Weng, Managing Director of Ricoh Malaysia.

As with all Ricoh products, the GelSprinter GX3000S, GX3000SF and GX3050SFN colour printers comply with strict environmental standards. These printers are designed with short warm-up time, low power consumption, power-saving sleep mode and minimal ozone emissions.

Titled “Upholding Data Integrity: Challenges Facing the Financial Sector”.
